These images start at the beginning with WIP 1 thru 9 in reverse chronological order, i.e. more recent pictures first. These cover the development of the single player WinBolo game. After you've seen these, be sure to check out the more recent screen captures of network games.
From WIP vers 9 tested on Mar 31, 1999. Note little green man (lgm) just above "J" in my nick "Jolo", returning from building the pill. Note the tree indicator and the compass showing my lgm's direction. My 2 bases and 1 pill are also counted properly.
From WIP vers 9. Nice spray of bullets tracking me as I weave away from the pill, showing how pill behavior is very accurately copied. Running away is one of my best skills!
From WIP vers 9. Only a few months passed between 0.1 and 0.9, but things sure changed. Menus are all filled out now. Note my nickname next to my tank, and no more frames/second display in the upper right corner. The newswire is now identical to Bolo, no more weird debugging messages all the time.
From WIP vers 1 tested on Jan 20, 1999. I'm hardlining, note pill taking hits and firing back (1 of the 4 bullets in the air is headed towards me). The big yellow number is the frames per second.
From WIP vers 1. I'm hardlining the pill below me while another to my right shoots at me, taking out a tree in its way. Note the dead pill too, which I dropped when I died the last time. All of this is perfectly accurate (and indicative of my skill level :).

From WIP vers 1. Half-size screen dump showing Win98 desktop underneath the game window (or see full-size image). Notice the nice terrain representation - except for a little pixelation in the walls, everything is identical to a Bolo window, right down to the status displays on the sides.
