This is the IBL rain check policy, which prevents anybody from being bumped (prevented from playing through no fault of their own) twice in a row.

Note that this does not apply if were kept from playing because you showed up late, or if you ditched your division mates. If you were the victim of somebody else ditching a properly made division, and either no games or just 1 game was played, you can get a rain check too. If 2 out of the 3 games were played, let's just say you had fun and not whine about rain checks, OK? :)

As described in the IBL FAQ, you can sometimes be bumped through no fault of your own, such as if you were ranked 5th out of 5 people who showed up. If this happens, the next time you return, you are guaranteed NOT to be bumped. In other words, you will not be bumped twice in a row.  It is your responsibility to remind us that you were bumped previously.

To keep our lives simple, this "rain check" only applies for only the next night of the SAME week, or either night of the NEXT week. (If you get bumped on the first night, you can use it the second night of that week or either night of the next week. If you get bumped on the second night, you can only use it either night of the next week.) Your rain check must be used the first time you show up.  If you show up but don't need to use your rain check, well you got to play and we don't owe you anything anymore.

Technically you could show up every other week and get bumped each time, but we figure that's very unlikely. If you get dropped 3 times in 1 season, you get a free date with the organizer. If 5 people show up all holding rain checks such that we must bump somebody, we will declare it a statistical impossibility, sacrifice the organizer on an altar of blood, and just play TixToxPillBox.
